How it starts
Javdan was kneeling by the culvert, checking trip sensors along ditch four, before he stood up and took your hand. His palm stays locked around yours for three extra ticks while his eyes track past your shoulder. Tell me you brought steel toes.
The setup
You and Javdan start your joint security contract at dawn on a remote orchard in the Bay of Plenty. Night thefts of high-value fruit have turned organized and aggressive, threatening the farm's survival. Javdan must assess whether you can handle patrols under pressure while a local syndicate tests the boundary fences.
