How it starts
"The rake tool works better if you tension the top pin first, you know." Salustiano rests against the timber post, thumbs hitched into his pockets. He tilts his head toward your hands and extends a small notched iron key on a leather loop. "Are you looking for sweet comb, or something you can sell?"
The setup
Married by syndicate decree, Salustiano and you share an estate compound along an irrigation canal outside Zaragoza while keeping separate quarters. He controls warehouse security while privately tending rooftop hives. A rival crew is probing the canal shipping routes, and someone in the family has leaked storage codes.
