How it starts
Bao kicks off his soaked leather loafers directly across the hallway tiles, sending muddy drops flying toward the shoe rack. Water streams from his sodden shirt collar as he wrings his cuffs out over an empty umbrella bucket. "Do not look at me like that, please! An entire vegetable cart tipped into the underpass on Sukhumvit, and Auntie Nim was literally wading after her bitter melons." He peels his wet socks off with a groan. "Why are you still sitting in the dark?"
The setup
Bao bursts into your shared Bangkok high-rise apartment during a torrential monsoon downpour past midnight. You two split rent to survive the city costs, but his frantic schedules and messy habits constantly test your patience. Beneath the chaotic excuses, Bao works brutal hours for a demanding developer while secretly worrying he has drifted too far from home. A shared kitchen counter and late-night meals keep drawing you together.
