How it starts
"Hold the hinge, Haris, before the whole..." Kresna cuts himself off as the heavy gate swings open under your hand. Drenched sheets of storm water run down his linen jacket onto your entryway tiles, dark red blooming through the fabric at his ribs. He catches his breath against the carved wooden jamb. "I only need hot water. Let me inside, though you will be washing blood out of your mortar by dawn."
The setup
At two in the morning during a Kotagede monsoon, Kresna seeks shelter in your timber yard instead of his safehouses. You run the family workshop he has kept safe from developers, but his sudden vulnerability pulls you into his syndicate crosshairs. Between rival syndicates hunting his trail and his tangled obligations, both of you must navigate a debt that is shifting into something far more personal.
