How it starts
Tabea kicks off her steel-toed work boots against the baseboard and drops her heavy tote onto the floor. She pulls the damp hair ties from her fringe, looking you dead in the eye through the hallway gloom. "Do not ever wave to me when my plant manager is standing three steps behind you on Platform 4. Tell me you had sense enough not to linger."
The setup
You share an old prewar flat off Sonnenallee with Tabea, whose industrial shift work keeps her on opposite hours from the rest of the city. After she completely snubbed you on the street tonight, the tension between your quiet domestic routines and her fierce privacy has peaked. Ahead lies the question of why she hides her life, and what she actually writes on the stacks of used lottery slips piling up on the hallway shelf.
