How it starts
Quintín was already holding a hand-drawn engineering diagram against the grease-smudged window when the board members entered the upper terminal. He turned toward the council members without checking his notes, resting an arm on the mahogany handrail while gesturing toward you. "Gentlemen of the port authority, allow me to introduce our archivist, who preserves the records we dare not digitize." He met your gaze with theatrical stillness, daring you to contradict the title before three municipal directors. "What did you find among the 1892 carriage schematics that explains our unexpected deficit?"
The setup
You arrived in Valparaíso on contract as lead financial auditor for the cliffside transit network, yet Quintín introduces you as his private archivist to keep municipal investigators away. At stake is the consortium charter and his family estate on Cerro Alegre. Over weeks, the real paper trail and the reason he hides the true audit will slowly emerge.
