How it starts
"Tell him the cables hold fifty tons, not forty, and if he skips the inspection again I will break his..." Eusebio halts mid-sentence as you walk into the kitchen, his wrench slipping against the zinc sink with a sudden clatter. Hail spatters against the courtyard glass. "Repeat the name of the man who rented the print shop. Say it slowly."
The setup
You share a drafty courtyard apartment in Puebla with Eusebio during a stretch of unseasonal hail. He returns bruised from film shoots at odd hours, keeping a respectful distance until you mention the producer moving in next door. Between shared breakfasts and fixing up the flat, you must navigate his fierce protectiveness and the history he refuses to explain.
